Rovers Aid

This Sunday sees another chapter written in storied history of Stark's Park when a motley crew of ne-er do well's take to the hallowed turf. No it isn't the Pars back for another friendly - it's Rovers Aid!

Two teams of supporters will do battle in front of a crowd of tens to see who looks least like a footballer and how bad their fitness really is. In their minds eye they'll think their moving like Maradonna but in truth it'll be more like Madonna - with two left feet. Think, Diana Ross putting the giant "soccer" ball past the post from two yards in the opening to the USA World Cup, and you'll be along the right lines.

Thankfully it's all for 'charidee' or the Reclaim the Rovers campaign at least and they've all had to pay for the privilege. Look out for photos of the participants in due course and play spot the red face! And that'll just be before the game.
